Most online recorders upload your voice to a server. MeloCut records and processes it inside your browser, so it never leaves your phone or computer. When you stop, the recording opens in the editor: listen, cut the silence at the start, and save.
Make it sound better
- Background noise? Open Effects and turn on AI noise removal to take out fans, traffic and hum.
- Too quiet? Turn on Auto loudness.
- Long pauses? Turn on Remove silences.
- Want a funny voice? Record in the Voice Changer instead.
Which format?
MP3 at 128 kbps is plenty for speech and keeps files small, about 1 MB per minute. Choose WAV if you will edit the recording in other software.
Works on
Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on Android, iPhone, Windows and Mac. Recording needs a secure page and your permission to use the microphone; you can turn it off again in your browser's site settings. Recordings stop automatically after 10 minutes.

Is my recording uploaded?
No. It is recorded and saved inside your browser and never sent to a server.
How long can I record?
Up to 10 minutes per recording. Record again for more, then put the parts together with the Audio Joiner.
Why does nothing happen when I tap Record?
Your browser needs permission to use the microphone. Allow it in the prompt, or in the site settings next to the address bar, and try again. In some in-app browsers (TikTok, Instagram) the microphone is blocked: open the page in Safari or Chrome.
Can I record on iPhone?
Yes, in Safari. Tap Record with the microphone and allow access when iOS asks.
