Faster without the chipmunk voice

Simply playing audio faster also raises the pitch, so voices sound like cartoons. MeloCut uses time stretching instead: it shortens the audio while keeping every voice and note at its normal pitch.

Which speed to pick

1.25× saves a quarter of the time and still sounds natural for speech. 1.5× is popular for lectures and long voice notes. Above 1.75×, speech gets hard to follow. For the sped-up song trend with a higher voice, use the Nightcore Maker.
