Who we are

MeloCut (melocut.com) is run by an independent developer. For anything about your data, email [email protected].

Your files

MeloCut processes audio and video files entirely inside your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's. We can't see, store or share them, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete.

Services the site uses

  1. Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, it receives your IP address and browser details when you load a page, to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. Cloudflare keeps these logs for a short time under its own privacy policy.
  2. jsDelivr delivers the audio engine and, if you use AI noise removal, the small RNNoise model. Your browser downloads them once and they then run on your device. See the jsDelivr privacy policy.
  3. Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami count visits and tool use without cookies, as described below.
  4. Google AdSense shows ads, as described below.

Advertising and cookies

MeloCut is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technology to show ads and to measure them, including ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. More details are in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message from Google before any personalized ads are shown, and can change their choice at any time with the privacy link it adds to the page.

MeloCut itself sets no cookies. The site saves its own files (the pages and the audio engine) in your browser's cache so the tools load faster and work offline. You can remove them by clearing your browser's site data.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami to count visits, see which pages are popular and how often each tool is used (for example "a file was converted to MP3"). Neither sets cookies, follows you across sites or builds a profile of you, and neither ever sees your files or their names. See Cloudflare Web Analytics and the Umami privacy policy.

Your rights

Since we don't collect personal data ourselves, there is usually nothing for us to show, change or delete. For data held by Google or Cloudflare, use the links above. You can still email us with any question or request.

If this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top.
