Add fade in and fade out
Give a song or clip a smooth start and ending instead of a sudden cut. Pick the fade length and listen before you save.
How it works
Any song, recording or video.
3 seconds each is set. Change them in Effects and press Play with effects.
Press Convert, then Download.
When a fade helps
A fade makes music start and stop gently. It's useful for ringtones, background music in videos, a part cut out of a longer song, or a slideshow that ends before the music does.
How long should a fade be?
For a ringtone or short clip, 1 to 2 seconds. For background music or the end of a song, 3 to 6 seconds. MeloCut never lets a fade take more than a quarter of the clip, so short clips stay audible.
Fade only one end
Set the other slider to off. To make a ringtone with fades, the Ringtone Maker has them set up already.

How to installQuestions and answers
Can I fade just part of a song?
Yes. Drag on the waveform to select the part you want. The fades are added to the start and end of your selection.
Does it lower the quality?
Pick WAV or FLAC for no loss at all, or 320 kbps MP3 to keep it very close to the original.
