Make an MP3, voice note or recording much smaller so it fits email, chat or upload limits. Pick a lower quality and see the new size.

64 to 320 kbpsMono optionNo upload

How it works

Open the file

Any MP3, WAV, M4A or other audio file, or a video.

Pick a smaller quality

64 kbps is selected. Use 96 or 128 kbps for music.

Download

Press Convert. The new size is shown before you download.

How much smaller?

An MP3's size depends almost only on its bitrate and length:

So a 320 kbps song gets about five times smaller at 64 kbps.

Even smaller

What about quality?

Lower bitrates remove detail you mostly hear in music: 64 kbps sounds fine for voices, use 96 to 128 kbps for songs. Compressing can't make a file sound better, so keep your original if you might need it later.
