How to make 8D audio
The music slowly circles around your head. It takes one minute to make from any song, and you need headphones to hear it.
Step by step
- Open the 8D Audio converter and choose a song.
- Put on headphones or earbuds. On a speaker the effect disappears.
- Press Preview with effects. The sound should move slowly from one ear to the other.
- Press Convert and Download your 8D version.
How it works
8D audio isn't extra dimensions. It slowly pans the music from left to right and back, and adds some reverb so it sounds like a room around you. Your brain hears that as the music moving around your head.
Make it sound better
- Calm songs work best: slow songs, lo-fi and ballads. Very busy songs can get messy.
- Less reverb keeps the vocals clear, more makes it dreamier.
- Combine it: make a slowed + reverb version first, then turn that into 8D.
